Thought you might like her!! And I'm smilin' even now!! I keep waking up in the middle of the night (check my post time here!) thinking about how lucky we are to have such a beautiful car!! Plus, tonight, had a dog that kept scritching her ear and that actually woke me up. Glad to see someone else names their cars. My previous Stang's name was Belle Star (couldnt decide if I liked Belle or Star so it became both!) She was a blue '89 mustang that we just sold like 2 months ago. I miss her, but I know she's got a good home. Our new stang's name is Comet. My husband is really into comic books and apparently Super Girl had a horse named comet. So, we named her Comet the super pony! As for a reg. for our color, I haven't seen one yet other than the posting awhile ago that said "who ordered vista"? By the way... did you get the scotchguarding and wax package they offered at the dealership? I can't believe a wax job that is supposed to last 6 years! We have a week to decide if we get it or not.

Thanks for the nana's everyone! And yes, those are 17" Bullits on our pony! The pony package comes standard with them! I'll post some more pics later on today so that you guys can see more. I worked yesterday and then when I got home, we of course had to go cruising!
Marci,
That's cool about you last Mustang's name being so similar. My husband isn't wild about Belle but he hasn't come up with ANYTHING let alone anything better I started a check-in for VB on the 2005+ board so be sure to head over there. We weren't offered any packages like the scotchguarding, wax, etching, or undercoating. Only the extended service plan when we went to the finance dept. My husband let the sales guy know he wasn't interested in anything extra before we even started talking numbers. Our sales guy was cool. No "what do you want your monthly payment to be" or "sign this form saying that if we agree on a price, you'll buy today" like we had run into when we had looked at Ford dealers in the past (for a pick-up and then Focus). We were so turned off by that crap we ended up buying other manufacturers. In fact I was hesistant going back into a Ford dealership again but wanted this car so darn bad (although warned by husband to not give off that vibe ). It was the sales mgr and finance dept that almost caused us to walk this time.

We had a really good salesman too. He personally didn't try the sales pitches on the wax stuff and all... they had a woman come into his office and do the sales pitch stuff. It's funny though... you can get the bad stuff at any place. I can't stand Chevy stuff just because of a bad experience we had at a dealer once. It's really not Chevy's fault for that... just an evil salesman. They are everywhere. And it's funny you mention that your husband warned you not to give off that vibe... mine did too!! We basically agreed that I'd talk as little as possible when looking. -Marci

We had fine experiences at a GMC dealership, Carmax, and what I thought was a good experience at the time at a Honda dealership (long story). We got crap at 2 different Ford dealerships (one in TX and one in MD) like they trained them all to do the same thing.
As for keeping mouth shut- Yep - same here. I tried to keep my mouth shut so as not to say anything OR let the drool out

Yeah, "the keeping my mouth shut" all happened because we just randomly decided one night to go and visit a dealership in the early summer. There was a beautiful black GT with ICAP on the showroom floor. The salesman opened the door and invited my husband to get into the car and experience the mustang. He got in and then the salesman looked at me and said "this is for you isn't it?" I was stunned! I thought... dag... I thought I was being cool as a cucumber here! I have no idea how he knew... but afterwards, we decided it was best if I just NOT talk when we were looking!! Once we decided where we were going to order and we actually ordered it... look out!! My enthusiasm was allowed to come all out!! I bugged the crud out of our salesman the last week or so. He was so nice!!! He picked up his black GT the night we bought ours so I'm guessing he's a big Stang fan too. -Marci
