Ordered My 2005 Mustang GT 3 Days Ago
Oh, and it's 1:18 scale...
CHECK OUT THE PIX BELOW!
It's got the Fan Blade wheels, IUP, and chrome exhaust tips... racing stripes not included.
It'll have to do until the full-size version arrives. This is by far, one of the finest die cast models I've ever seen. The detail is exquisite. However, this is no kiddie toy. The packaging clearly states that it is not intended for children under 14 years (choking hazard, I guess).
I'm going to find a nice display case for it. It's #421 of 3000. The cardboard box was unremarkable and the plastic frame didn't compliment the model, so I'm not going the "collector" route.
I urge anyone who has considered purchasing a die cast to get one of these before they're gone! Total cost: $84.20 including shipping. (Wish I had preordered, like some other TMS members!) I got mine from diecastmuscle.com, but it is manufactured by Gateway Global Limited. Check out www.autoartmodels.com.

I need to find one of those in Redfire

If you go to www.diecastmuscle.com and click on Ford, it will open a page that contains both the Legend Lime and Redfire Mustang GTs. Both are in the "car show" configuration with the 18" fan blade wheels and bright exhaust tips.
I normally don't spend so much on die casts, but I decided to treat myself to an early birthday present! This model is a lot more detailed than I could have imagined. Right down to the fuzzy carpet, rear package tray, and trunk lining! It also has spark plug wires and all the correct underhood decals. Well worth it to the demanding collector for sure!
Get one! It'll make the wait a little more bearable.

Haha, I'm going to get slayed for that one with people still waiting on their new cars. I'm only halfway joking though about them needing to add the fanblades... B)
Aside from the spoiler delete, I wish they had Bullitt wheels. It would be closer to what I want to get. But I still think it is an awesome model!
Imagine the delays in production if these models had to be custom-built!

Ya know, they also have 1:24 REMOTE-CONTROL versions!
How sweet would it be if it had the snarling sound effect?

I'll go you one better, I'd like to hear that Mustang growl as a wake up sound on my alarm clock! That'd get me outta bed in a hurry.
