I am new to this site. I am over 85 years of age and still drive a Mustang part time as I live in Northern Idaho about 50 miles from Canada. I'm on my fourth Mustang. The first bought in 1965, the second, the movie Bullet came out and I bought a 1970 Mach I, but also brought into the world our third child, so, diaper bags, car seats, etc eliminated the Mach I as a family car. For my 81st Birthday I bought myself a 2008 White Mustang Convertible CS/GT. Loved the car but the original buyer went with a Deluxe interior, and I like a nice interior.
Two years later I came across our current 2012 Black Mustang Convertible GT. It could be the most polished Mustang in North Idaho. The following is not a " pity party" It's part of life. My wife is in her 5th year of dementia, and I take care of her, Thus the highly waxed car, great stress reliever. My wife and I enjoy the long road trips we take through all this beauty.
2012 Mustang Convertible GT I'm standing at the front bumper shooting picture down on hood.

Welcome aboard!
Just as KC also brought up, we do indeed have a small group of veteran members that have been struggling with health issues over the years... Therefore, don't ever have any doubts about sharing your personal issues or struggles, as your never alone as part of this Mustang community... Meanwhile, we'll all be keeping your wife in all our thoughts/prayers as she continues her recovery plan towards treating dementia...
In the meantime, also thanks for sharing your story as a veteran Mustang owner and enthusiast as your never too old to drive and enjoy being behind the wheel of a Ford Mustang... Also, congrats on your current 2012 Black GT Convertible, as she's looks absolutely stunning from the image you also submitted...

Wonderful photos. Thanks! Many of us hope to make it as long as you. The problems of getting old are never realized until you 'get there'.
We have the same taste in Mustangs. You had a 2008 GT/CS and we had an '07 GT/CS. Now we have the same type Mustang 'vert.. Ours is a '14. Here we are trading in one for the other in August 2022.
We have been married over 54 years. Wife wasn't overly thrilled with the white Mustang but loves the black one. Don't know why she wasn't that thrilled with the white car. Funny in that she didn't care one way or another about the car, until one day a young man walked up to the car while I was in the store. He said, "lady your car really rocks". After that she liked the car. But the black Mustang she loved from the start.

^^^ That's the same here. My wife never cared for white cars despite all the black accents on the GT/CS. She also received compliments when we purchased the GT near Washington DC. She drove it home nearly 500 miles while I drove the Trans Am, and at each gas station stop she would get a comment. She always handled manual trannies well and this 5 speed was no different.
I wanted a white R/T (like in Vanishing Point) but we had the white Mustang then in 2020 and I didn't even consider getting another white car. She likes 'colors' and man, we have colors now. By the way, congratulations on the 54 years of marriage. We are approaching 47 years this June.
Welcome Macgould, always nice to have more people.
To you and NC , I think the white GT/CS vert was near the top of the best looking Mustang of all the 05-09 cars. I loved my coupe, but that vert with the black top was a head turner.
I agree, in many ways I Liked to 2008 GT/CS over the current black Mustang I have now. It looked more like the cars of the 60's, 70's. One thing the 08 had over the other 05-09 was I never experienced the leaks and other problems repeatedly discussed on 05's through 07's Mustang sites. I always assumed by time the 08's came out Ford had found fixes for the problems. If the original buyer had put premium interior in the car, I'd still be driving it. I had considered upgraded the interior, mainly dealing with the instrument panel but Ford dealer wanted about $1400. to do it with no guarantees that it would work with the cars security system and if not no refund on parts. And, of course it would no longer be the way it came from the factory.
I still see it running around town and the new owner doesn't keep it up at all. I parked next to it at a restaurant in town and saw that the car has disable plates. Maybe explains why the car is so dirty.
