Noobie wants to restore 68

Greetings! I have a 68 coupe that is in bad shape. It has been sitting in a field the past 15 years gathering rust, dirt dauber nests, etc. So now I have been given the opportunity to restore it. Question: Where to begin? What should I do first? The car doesn't run at all. I know how to turn a wrench and have a lot of "helping dad" experience from years long gone, but I am in no way an experienced mechanic. Thanks for any suggestions.

Is it rotted out? Post pictures so I can get a better idea what your getting into.
Is it a 6 cyl, or 289 or J code 302?

You're gonna need a lot of green.
