Noise coming from rear end of a 2003 mustang GT

I have a scraping / dragging noise coming from the rear end of my 2003 mustang GT, sound like the left side, at least that what it sounds like from inside. Anyways, when I jack up the car and run it, |I don't hear it. Checked u joints (good), a little play in the pinion and a little at the wheels. Any thoughts?

I haven't seen to many rear ends go bad on the the 00 thu 04's. I can see where you wouldn't hear the noise with no load on the rear end. My first thought was that you had a caliper hanging up. Did you happen to turn the wheels by hand when you had it jacked up?

I turned both by hand and running in gear. I will pull the caliper tomorrow and check them out. Thanks.
