The silver pre-production GT coupe is there, the Shelby Cobra Roadster concept, some 2003-2004 Saleens and the silver Ford GT are all there. GMNetwork sent me some photos, but I haven't put them on the web yet.
I made it to the NY Auto Show over the weekend. It was really crowded, and hard to get around. I was really glad to see the Mustang GT there, it was the silver one with white stripes. It does look awesome ! I was very surprised that they did not have it roped off. You could walk right up to it, and touch it. It was a bummer that they had it locked up, it would have been great to try sitting in it. Good pictures were impossible given the crowds. Here is the best I could do.
WHAT the heck.
In Houston, if you even got on the ground to look underneath the roped off Windveil GT Mustang they started to get antsy. And here I see some guy PUTTIN HIS HANDS ON IT.
Good lord. Like NY is better that Houston or something. I'm gonna female dog at someone real soon.
Or just pout. Yeah, probably just that.
Yet another reason for us to dislike the Yankees.
Go 'Stros! And Texans, Rockets, Comets and Aeros too!

LOL on the female dog ! Yeah, I am kind of kicking myself now because I could have easily slipped underneath the car and snapped a bunch of pictures. :bang: It was total chaos in there, people everywhere. It was an experience just to try and look inside the car without rubbing cheeks with someone else (could be good depending who it was).
On the other hand my photography won't win any awards, and others out here have already taken some really nice under the car shots.

Maybe because it's the end of the season they are not so concerned with minor damage. In Detroit it was roped off, but i touched it several times. In atlanta they were pretty disorganized, I started to stay til everyone left and ask to get in, but I was hungry. Also I got in the 04', Crossfire, MINI and Z4, so I was convinced.
One of the reps told me they sent a guy to the show to get in the Ford GT, so they would know if they had to customize his seats, he was buying one of course. I think he has a bit more clout than me...

Yes, I couldnt believe it, the doors were actually unlocked. Sorry for all the capitlization and exclamations, I am just sooooo stoked. From the day the concept was unveiled I have been dreaming of that moment. Oh, and I got a picture of me in it!!!! I tried to go back and sit in it for a second time, but the doors were locked and a rep told me I wasn't allowed in it. I took a lot of pictures of all the cars; I'll try and post them but it will take me a while. Another thing, every picture I've seen so far absolutly cannot do that car ANY justice at all. The first time I saw the production model, I hated the hood. But after seeing it in person....man there is not one thing about it I don't like. The whole car is just amazing. I sat in it for like 6 minutes before somebody got really pi$$ed at me and told me to get out.
As for will it fit taller people, it felt REALLY roomy. I'm only 5'10', but I felt a LOT of extra space. In fact I was talking to the rep there and he said that they focused on that and compared to the current T-Bird, it is a HUGE step up. Why he compared it to that I don't know.I hope that helps some of you. Again I'll try and post what I've got, but it will take some time. And if anyone at this forum has the opprotunity to go, I highly suggest you do so.
