New to TMS Forum & Original owner of a '99 GT
Hey guys, I joined this forum in the hopes of getting information on where to get parts and to also increase my knowledge.
I'm looking to do several things to my '99 to make it stand out even more. I used to show the car all around the South especially in Florida and would attend the major shows like the MCA's 30th & the Mustang's 40th.
I moved up North after getting laid off a few years ago and have not really shown the car, although I would make the 1,000 mile drive down to Silver Springs for the NPD show in early January.
I'm looking for several things:
A) The latest Powered by Ford Emblems that were on the recent like 2007 Shelby GT. They're ridiculously priced on e-baay and I couldn't find the NEW ones on the Shelby websites.
B) I'm looking for the surrounding padded cover that wraps around the battery.
C) I had the OEM Ford Bra that said MUSTANG GT on the hood piece in silver & red.....can't find one. I really don't like bras on a car but I do like the separate hood piece. Willing to buy the complete 2 piece bra in order to get the hood piece w/the Silver & Red Mustang GT lettering on it from FORD.
D) in 1999 when you ordered a Medium Graphite, light gray interior , the complete door panel pieces were light gray. Then in 2001 or so when you ordered a Medium graphite/light gray interior the door switch panel was charcoal giving it a 2-tone look. Well I was smart enough to get those pieces and the seat belts in charcoal from the dealer but I should of gotten the armrest door in Charcoal for the center console. I went to the dealer earlier this week and it still comes in some colors but it didn't list charcoal as one. Does anyone know where I can buy one in charcoal? I tried buying the interior paint from Ford that matches the color exactly but the dealer said they didn't sell that. When the car was new, I bought the interior paint in both colors since my dash is two-tone...light gray or medium graphite and charcoal. Well I still have the light gray one but I seem to have misplaced the charcoal can. Anyone sell or have the Ford OEM charcoal interior paint?

Welcome to the site! I actually have 1 of those new emblems that I have been wondering what to do with. Decided I would never put it on my car, so did you need a pair or just 1? Also, I was shocked at the going price for them, so i am sure I could help out.

I have no need for it and could let it go for $30. It is in perfect condition, but let me get home to take a pic of it to ensure its the one you are looking for. Also, the 13 tail lights will leave a small gap over the 12 bumper. If you look close at the two you will notice the bottom of the lights on the 13 are more straight across, while the 12 lights have a shallow v shape.

Another GREAT appearance mod for the 99's. if you have the stock spoiler, just move it back towards the rear of the car until the bottom of the spoiler is flush with the end of the trunk. My neighbor did it and I am trying to get him to send me a picture. It was a super simple change, but made a HUGE difference.
