First of all, "hello everyone at The Mustang Source!" I am a newly registered and first time member to this site or any other Mustang site. Whew!, Well I finally made the grand decision and stressful, but heart racing exciting move to get back on the monthly payment club after 4 years of no car payments (2001 BMW 330ci). Yeah, that car took me over 8 years to pay off at $461 per month +plus 14 thou in cash down.
Heart racing, because I just ordered a 2013 Mustang GT premium (401a)yesterday and am already looking at websites to personalize it and make it unique.
It's black on black, cashmere accent seats, 19 inch premium painted luster aluminum nickle wheels, Comfort package, security package /w reverse sensing system, Shaker Pro audio and Navigation (OH, and the 3.55 rear gears). Test drove the stock GT with the 3.31 gears and was surprisingly "just a little" disappointed with the excelleration compared to what I have been reading on the internet for 3 years about the GT. .
The dealer only took off $1500 off MSRP ($500 factory incentive + an addition $thousand , because she said I was such a nice guy (BARF).
Anyway, 4-6 weeks till delivery. I don't think I have been more anxious in my life. I was up half the night on the WWW.
I'm not much of a negotiater, and again my heart was racing after I took a solo 40 minute test drive an just wanted to sign on that infamous dotted line.
I still have till Monday morning to change anything and am still on the fence with the exterior color. Other choice being the sonic blue which I seen at another dealer and it was beautiful and very bold inside the showroom, but will I still like it down the road.
Anyway folks, very sorry for my very first loooong discussion, promise short ones on the future, but now you know all there is to know about my soon to be new ride and can comment accordingly.
I hope I made the right choice with the 3.55 gears. It will be an occasional DD, but don't want to be embarrassed by the rice burners either.
Thanks for listening guys, Again sorry for the long winded message!!
