New Member from SoCal - Afghanistan

Well let me say I am a car guy in all aspects of the word. I am a helicopter mechanic by trade but Cars is the only thing I actually like working on.

I am in afghanistan currently so I am in the planning of purchasing a new '11/'12
GT. I have a friend with one and drove it on vacation and loved it. I am a performance guy and out of the box that car is amazing. So I am here to find out what weakness it may have and decide what I really wanna do with it.

Now for a reason to be flamed. I do however own a performance car and I figured I would get this out of the way now. I have a fully built 500WHP Evolution X. I am not a ricer and actually have started a team to get people to the track and off of the street.

So here is my Evo X - www.alliancemotorsportsusa.com (team site)

and here is my new source of affection

Hello and welcome

I'm from so cal myself!

God bless you for serving our country with the work you do and protecting USA!

I'm just as a car enthusiast as you and your current ride is very impressive. If you can make that to 500 RWHP it's going to be interesting to see what you can do to a 11 or 12 5.0 GT.

What color / options are u looking for?

Well I just found the thread difference between the GT and the new Boss. I was under the impression it was a bunch of little components but the motor seems to be beefed up tremendously. I may have to "settle" on a Boss 302 instead of a GT with an S/C.

I am waiting for the dealer to give me a OTD price and whether or not she has a 4th quarter car. Thats when I will be purchasing. Either way I have a feeling getting back into another Mustang will be the starting point of my V8 love affair all over again. My E85 flex fuel suburban just doesnt cut it..

Ill have numbers tuesday so we shall see how this goes. The biggest issue I will have is that I wont be able to purchase until July at the earliest but would like to do it more towards december so it only sits a couple of months vs all year.
