Hello to all.
I have been reading posts on this website for a week now, great info and most seem very helpful. My order just went to Ford for my 2014 Mustang GT. I have been going back and forth with getting one for a year and my soon to be wife decided to buy one for my wedding gift ( Thanks Babe!!).. -Cant wait to get my Mustang and join in the discussions.
Desc. of my GT:
Deep impact blue with white stripe, Track Pack, leather, comfort package, side scoops, option 4 rear spoiler, security package,NOAH car cover, upgraded floor mats, projection lamps,
Plus:
Onsite dealer MOD shop is adding Power Pak +25HP and 40lb-ft torque
and short throw shifter..
BTW, If anyone has the opportunity to use Fords X-plan when ordering a car or truck I highly recommend it.. This plan is for suppliers to Ford but not many people take advantage of it.. I was able to purchase a Premium GT at Std. GT pricing. and all options are discounted too..
Hope to have many years of enjoyment out of this one..
(Previous 82 mustang crappy 4 cyl. and 78 302) nothing like this though!!

Tasca Ford in Rhode Island. They are pretty tight with Ford. Great place to visit the Mod Shop..
Interesting article about Bob Tasca Sr.

Welcome! Sounds like a good one. Make sure you post Pics when you get it. So the Ford X-Plan. Is that only at certain dealers? What are the requirements to be able to go that route? Seems like everyone would want to get in on that one.

The X-Plan is usually a benefit a employer offers if they are a supplier to Ford. This may seem like a long shot to most people but you would be surprised. What is also nice is that you can be a relative of someone who has the benefit and they can generate a pin code for you. Most people don't even know they have this benefit. I work in the electronics industry and we have had this benefit for quite some time. When I asked around my company no one even heard of it. What's also weird my company has many other car company's that participate as well. As far as dealerships, you call the dealership you are interested in and ask if they participate, most do. You have to tell them up front you are a X-Plan customer and they may not let you have a car off their lot. They prefer you order one because there is no profit for them. Even the Doc fees are cut in half when using the X-Plan. I also still qualified for the Ford rebates and incentives. It doesn't matter to the sales people at Tasca because they get paid by customer satisfaction after the sale ( the owner calls you directly and asks you specific questions about your experience with all departments involved with your purchase. They do not get paid by commission. I don't know of another dealership that does this but it makes shopping for a car very different.

Yup, the wait is agonizing. I still have about a month more. Looks like it was just shipped to Roush. Can't hardly wait, it is killing me... Just have to lurk around here and look at the other rides to get my fix.
