New member-69 Mustang Fastback w/ 467cid
Hello,
I just bought a 69 Mustang Fastback with a 540 HP 467cid engine. I'm not new to the hobby, but I'm new to Fords, big blocks, and carbs and look forward to learning about them. In the past, I have built an 89 Camaro IROC w/ 350 TPI to run 12.1's @ 112 and be a daily driver, and a 98 Trans Am w/ just a cam and bolt-on LS1 motor that ran 11's @ ~120 mph and was daily drivable.
My plans for the Mustang are to have a nice weekend cruiser, take it to several car shows a year, and hit Milan and Norwalk to drag it a few times a year. I'm going to get it painted Raven Black this winter and maybe add a 150-200 shot of nitrous.

i personally think u shoudl keep it red
i think it looks great man!!!
but i think 540hp is a wee bit more than just a "weekend cruiser" LOL
beautiful car dude, and those Fbodies dont sound half bad either

467cid 540HP @ 6500 rpm, 94 octane
4 bolt block bored .040 - line honed, decked
2Y 1973 Cast steel 460 crank
SCJ connecting rods with Milodon bolts
TRW 2404 Forged pistons 10:1 compression ratio
Speed Pro Moly rings
Balanced assembly
1969 DOVE-C heads-heavily ported
2.250 intake valves and 1.720 exh
Crane springs and cups

Crane hardened locks
7/16 Rocker studs
Comp Cam solid lifter w/ 589"/605" lift-no duration or LSA given-I think it might be 256/266 @ .050 with a 108 LSA after looking at Crane's website
