Hi everyone. I've been looking to get back into the muscle car realm with a new car. Initially I was considering all three of the muscle car contenders (both V6 and V8 models for all three). Dodge had the looks, Chevy had the engines, and Ford had all around refinement. But after my jaw dropped upon seeing the 2011 Mustang drivetrain upgrade news, the decision to continue hanging with the Mustang crowd was made. I also really like the SYNC system, which as far as I can tell, Dodge and Chevy don't have anything comparable. Glass roof is also alluring.
My past vehicles, in order of ownership (though some were simultaneous):

1995 Jeep Wrangler SE
1997 Cadillac Seville STS
1981 DeLorean
1999 Mustang Cobra
1986 Mercury Capri, 5.0
1984 Mercury Capri, 3.8L V6
1981 Mercury Capri, 2.3L i4
I've also joint-owned a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Sahara and a 2008 Jeep Liberty, but I never really considered those mine.
Each vehicle has stories behind them. For example, my 99 Cobra had to be towed back the dealership the day after I bought it with 36 miles on it because it wouldn't start anymore. Turns out something was wrong with the starter. The guy who sold it to me felt pretty bad about it and let me borrow his truck until the car was fixed.
To date, the 99 Cobra was the only vehicle I purchased new, and the 95 Jeep is the only vehicle I currently own. I'll be keeping the Jeep as a bad weather backup after I get a new Mustang.

I had the DeLorean for about a year and a half I think. Spent the first 6 months restoring the interior, as it was pretty beat up inside. Lots of sun damage (discoloration and cracking everywhere), lots of other little things like interior lights not working due to bad contacts or missing bulbs, the main climate control system was miswired so the A/C, heat, etc didn't work right. Once I got all this fixed, I drove it periodically.
It's not a powerful car. Can't remember anymore, but I think it's 2.8L V6 only put out about 130 HP. Certainly not a high performer. But it is a cool car, and a show car. It definitely draws attention to you. Ultimately, that's the reason I decided to sell it. As cool as it was, it drew a little too much attention for my tastes. I would rather have something a little lower profile that is more fun to drive.
