I just reached a deal on a Sterling Gray coupe, MT-82, 401A (charcoal w/ cashmere), Brembos, 3.73, and rear view camera. Going to go pick it up on Sunday... 850 miles away.

Thanks guys! It's going to be a fun trip. 850 miles to St. Louis in the Z then probably 900 miles of mixed highway and back roads on the way home. I was going to go from St. Louis to Tulsa and Dallas to see some friends before heading home, but I just don't have the time. That would have been an even better trip!

Funny thing, I saw a Sterling Gray with the Brembo package and rear-view camera spoiler on the way home today... Looked so sweet.

And I bet it's going to be MUCH easier to keep looking fresh than the Solid Red on my Z!

Leaving for STL tomorrow! Assuming I don't have cold feet, I'll be back in town on Tuesday with a Sterling Gray 5.0

I am so butt-cised about this car. It's perfect (except for a squeaky rattle I need to track down) and fun. Getting used to the size of this thing.

Awesome! Welcome to the club, from another member that drove a long distance for a car. Picked mine up in Dallas, drove 1070 miles back!

The brembo package (wheels) is awesome! Congrats!

btw, is that the Dragon in your first pic?

It is indeed The Dragon! What a blast.

I was there for ZDayZ this year. Going back with all my Z buds next year for another great time. I know I'll catch a lot of crap for having the Mustang there but we'll have fun with it... I can't wait to get the Mustang out there!

Coming from your Z car, I think it might take a bit of time. Interestingly enough, when I was getting used to my previous '07 GT as compared to my '03 Mach, I definitely had some trouble adjusting to the sight lines. In fact, I crunched the left front fender while parking because I misjudged how far it stuck out. However, I found the '10 GT to be easier to maneuver, based on the changes to the rear and sloping nose of the front.

Have fun!

Width wise both cars are about the same. The Mustang is just a lot longer. It just about fills up a parking space whereas I had several feet to play with in the Z.

Definitely have a lot better visibility with this car, though. The rear view camera is very helpful... it would have been great on the Z!

What I don't like so far are the cockpit storage compartments. I didn't have Nav on the Z, so in place of he Navi there was a nicely sized storage cubby at the top of the center stack which was very convenient for toll money, sunglasses, etc. The door trays on the Z were also a lot larger and easier to reach than they are on the Mustang. The Mustang's are tiny and because of the door speakers they are pushed back, so it's kind of awkward to reach for them.

Oh, and I have a rattle somewhere at the top of the rear driver's side seat that I need to fix.

Aside from that I really love the car. It's great fun and has lots of power. I'm used to downshifting quite a bit for corners with the Z and I'm finding that it's not really necessary to downshift all the time with all the torque in this car. Oh, and I'm itching for exhaust!

The Dragon is a blast. In my 04, the gearing is perfect for the corners, btwn 2nd and 3rd. I went on it on a Thursday, and there was almost no traffic whatsoever! It was paradise!
