New in Kansas City
I'm not really supposed to be here yet because I don't actually own a Mustang, unless you count one that's coming into the dealership that I've paid a $100 deposit to hold it. If that counts, then I'm in the group.
I've owned many cars in my life (Babyboomer from the Muscle Car era). My all-time favorite car so far was my 1964 Chevy Impala SS 327 4-speed convertible. Powerful and sleek. I owned that during my high school days. At one point I owned a 67 Camaro purchased new (which I wish I still had), a 72 Camaro, a Nissan 380ZX, a Lexus LS430 and an ES300 as well as a 2011 Corvette 6 speed. I recently traded the ES and the Corvette in on a BMW 335ix. It's a nice car, with 300hp, but it's been boring me to death when I drive it. I bought it new about 9 months ago and I can't take it any longer.
A local dealer has a 2012 Sterling Gray GT Premium coming in next week. If I drive it and I like it, we've already talked numbers and I'll be into it at a great discount. ($35,990 sticker - selling it to me for $30,800.) Credit's already approved and they've given me the highest trade in on the BMW of any dealer locally so it looks like it's a done deal. Provided the car drives like it should and there's no dents or scratches on it when they get it off the rail car and to the lot.
So, that's where I'm at right now. I'm glad to have found this forum because I'm sure there will be a lot of questions come up that you guys will be a great resource for answering.
I'll let you know what happens.
