New from Jersey
Well, after years as a Mustang enthusiast, owning several, and having unlimited drive time in a new '84 SVO as a teenager, (a story for another time) I have finally ordered a 08 GT. I went with Alloy, red leather, IUP, no wing, base wheels, (they will make fine mounts for snow tires), and comfort group ( I'm to old for cold leather). I plan on plenty of mods and want to thank this site and everyone on here for sharing the info I needed for ordering and planing out the mods. I have looked at a few sites and this seems to have the most friendly and mature forums on the net.
Pictures will be posted soon of my Cobra and the '08 as soon as it's in, hopefully by late March.
Thanks again!

Welcome Jeff, I echo your sentiments on this being the best site! I've had my S197 for a year now and can't believe how much I've learned from this forum. You are going to love your 08'.

Pics of the ’79 Cobra. The students at the school have done 90% of the work over the years. It’s still a work in progress.
To answer a few of the questions:
I am from Bloomfield and work in Denville
I have a picture of a small part of the rear of the SVO. It is in the backround of one of my high school graduation pictures, not much to see. I am considering selling the Cobra in the future to make room for a SVO.
Thanks for the warm welcome!

Finally came in a week ago Friday. Took delivery this past Friday. My goal is to document the hell out of the car and make it a family heirloom. When I'm gone I want my son to get it and hand it down to his kids, ECT. ECT...
I had a clear bra installed before delivery. This car will be my daily driver for quite a while. I buy'em to use'em, snow, sleet, rain, the car will be driven.
I am impressed so far with the car. The ride, handling and of course the sound. I should have bought one when they first came out.
I'll post from time to time when the mods start

Welcome Teach! That's a good looking car you've got there! And I'm sure many will appreciate the spoiler delete. Plans?
Looks like you've done a nice job on the Cobra, thinking of getting rid of it for another project? Looks great, shame to get rid of something in such good condition.

Thanks all,
I have plans for the 08, but with two Mustangs, the money only goes so far. The first thing with the 08 I am going to do is install the MGW shifter, hopefully this summer. Then I will do the lowering, programmer, wheels thing. The wheels will be expensive. I have been investigating some alternative custom wheels, and I want to do a big brake kit at the same time, I'm not crazy about the big wheels, small brake look.
The Cobra looks good in the pics, but the body work isn't the best. The first year Auto body students at the school where I teach painted the car and I can see the flaws that are to be expected with new students. I am thinking about taking down to the shell and going to the next level. Again all it takes is money.

Welcome to the site. I'm just over the TP bridge and come over to NJ often for many car shows I go to. You have plenty of fellow Mustang owners over there. Hope to see ya at some shows in the NJ area.
