New guy from Massachusetts
Hello everyone...
My name is Ron, and screen name is DaGonz. I am new to this site, but I am a member of other Mustang websites. I am also a member of the Silver Mustang Registry and the Mustang Car Club of New England.
A little bit about me... I am a 30+ year veteran of the Fire Service and hold the rank of Deputy Fire Chief with my FD. I drive the "Fire SUV" and I am in command of group made up of 18 firefighters (one of 4 groups in the Department).
I also work per diem for the State's Fire Academy, the Civil Service testing division and for a private ambulance service. I also own my own seasonal automotive detailing venture (I open in late March and run through November or longer, depending on weather). I am a clean car fanatic... my wife thinks it borders on OCD!
I've been married to the same wonderful woman for 32+ years. We have 1 son and recently became a grandparents of a beautiful baby boy as of May 23rd!
We are a "Blue oval" family. My daily driver is a white and silver 2009 F-150 XLT supercab, wifey drives a 2007 dune pearl metallic Edge SEL AWD and my automotive pride and joy is my 2006 tungsten gray Mustang GT which I purchased new in May of 2006.
The Mustang has a a few minor modifications.. the performance mods are a BBK cold air induction system with a Bama Tuning performance tune for premium fuel. Appreance mods include painted rear quarter window louvers, painted mirror covers, a balckout panel and a Stack racing shorty antenna.
The Mustang is put away for the New England winter. As of this post, the car, which I named Lauren Renee (the name we would have given a daughter if we had one) has 19,307 miles on her odometer. I have won three awards from the Mustang Club of New England with the car to date. I love putting her in car shows.
Here are a few pics of Lauren Renee and I... enjoy!
This one was when my son had his Mustang and the cars were parked side by side...
Fall of 2006...
Cars and Coffee at Herb Chambers BMW of Sudbury Spetember 2010
At the Masonic lodge's "Cars on the Main" annual show 2011
A "heritage shot" a friend's 1930 Model A and Lauren Renee together...

Welcome to the site brother. I was also a firefighter at the former Fort Devens and then Southbridge Fire before retiring in late '05. I'm also a member of MCCNE/MCA and local group but not very active right now due to a host of reasons but I was going to the monthly meetings in sturbridge and made a few of the very early national show meetings.
Nice cars and welcome.
