New guy from Iowa, 1967 Mustang Convertible

New guy from Iowa, still have my first car, a 1967 Mustang convertible I bought in 1976.

Finally got it running the way it should and it has become my daily driver.

Absolutely a favorite year for many of us old geezers. Where in Iowa are you?

Newton , Iowa , a nice little Nascar town --- the track will be packed again this weekend with Nationwide there!!!

Great to see all the support Iowa and fellow Midwesterners give to your town!!

Yep! And I agree with you; 1967-68 are probably the Mustang-est years. 1965-66 were more Falcon-ey and 1969 on they were not as "Pony".

Greetings from another New Guy. I too bought my first one in 1976, a red 67 390 fastback. But you were much smarter than I. You kept yours and I let mine go. Love the 67's. Always wanted another, but a 2014 will have to do.

My cousin had a 67 GT 390 and it was a wheel smoking beast.

Because I live in the midwest, with that whole "winter thing", my lovely bride has declared that we are a "1 Mustang family".

I wouldn't mind owning a 2014 GT in addition to the 1967 though.
