New Guy...

Hey Ladies and Gents
New to the forum, so I guess I'll start by telling you about my car. Its the Base model 4.0 Mustang 2006. Talk all the S*** you want I love this car. I will be adiing many aftermarket parts to her, so I am sure I will need some advice and opinions(honest ones). A bit about me, I am a USMC Vet of OIF and OEF. I currently work for Toyota as a Maintanence "Team member". You will never see me in one either I don't care much for the product but the money works just fine.. Enough about me. I am looking forward to being here. Thanks Guys and Gals.

Don't let anyone "grab your *****" because you have on '06 4.0L. I have an '05 and when I bought it I got a horrendous amount of flak from co-workers and various forum members of different sites. For me the 05 purchase was all I could reasonably afford after recovering from a divorce. Currently my '05 has 269 rwhp and goes like snot. I like it and if others don't thats to bad for them. I just bought a pre-owned 2007 Mustang GT. While it goes a bit faster and has more of a rumble I still prefer my modified 4.0L. Oh welcome to the forum by the way. If you need any advice just look me up and send a message.

Two pics attached. 2005 4.0L Windveil Blue & 2007 4.6L Vista Blue.

Welcome to ya! I've been on here for just a month or so, but this board seems to be filled with a bunch of good people!
Friends and family gave me S%!7 for getting the V6... I just invite them to take a ride, turn off the traction control and AdvanceTrac, then go slide around a corner for them. S%!7 withdrawn!

I tried this but no one would take a ride. Those that criticize seem to know how it performs from their limited mind sets. Even had one guy tell me he knows how the 4.0L V6 performs compared to a GT by just reading a car magazine. Told him the proof is in the pudding. A lot of these folks fail to recognize and understand that the first production Mustang was a slant 6. But hey what do you and I know against such boorish behavior exhibited by others? Those that have never driven the S197 V6 will never understand your viewpoint or mine. Enough of the rant....phew!

Welcome (from a fellow new guy). In my humble opinion all that matters is what puts a smile on your face when it goes vroom.
