New to group
Hello All, I'm new to this group. I'm a Mustang owner for about 7 years. My Mustang rides include a 2010 Roush Stage 3 and a 85 GT. The GT I picked up from original owner and I have a question. The following I posted someplace on this site, I'm just not sure where. If it's a duplicate I apologize!
Hello, I'm new to this group although I've owned a couple of Mustangs for some time. I would like to ask for opinions and I know that's something everyone has. lol
I came across a 85 GT with 88,000 miles on it and had to grab it. I put a master cylinder and booster on it as well as a clutch and front brakes It is very clean (I'm in Ct) as an older couple owned it and it sat in a garage.
I diagnosed it as needing a new carburetor. My question is do I have original carb rebuilt? and by who? or just throw a Holley 600 and keep the old one with the car? If a new Holley should I put the older style with the transfer tube between the fuel bowls?
I know a lot of questions......I don't want to cannibalize an original car.
Thanks in advance, Jim
