I am now. Used to live in Cape Coral. I still buy palm trees every Spring and plant them in my yard. They usually last until December. Waste of money, but brings a little of FL to OH.

Edit: yes, we can get palms in planters from the local home improvement stores. I usually grab a couple of 5 gallon, 5' tall trees and enjoy them.
New girl - sorry for the thread derail, that happens here from time to time.

I was out taking pictures and then uploading them to my family via a wireless air-card modem. We had 4 or 5 hurricanes that year. I was an insurance adjuster, you can imagine how much that sucked. After Katrina hit NO the next year, we decided to bail and move back 'home' to OH. I still miss FL, especially Jan-March.

She was Canadian, not sure if that had anything to do with it.
Is that right off of I-10? Name sounds familiar, drove from CA to AZ to visit my sister.

I was in Phoenix and Tuscon once. Loved it. I walked outside and instantly felt my skin baking, but with no humidity. Pure heat... and that was in December or January. I did like how there was no rust on any cars though.
