New Boss Owner
I have always lusted after a Boss 302. A guy I knew in high school had a brand new '70 that we would cruise around in. A yellow '70 Boss became my fantasy mustang but after I graduated college I went the foreign route (280Z, RX-7, 944 Turbo). My other fantasy ford from the early 70s was a Detomaso Pantera. Shortly after I got my 944T (26 years ago) I found a Pantera and had it restored. Still have the car and don't every plan to sell it. Still have the 944T too, which is also a great car.
When I saw that prices for a '70 Boss kept escalating to the point that I probably would never have one, I starting thinking that I would buy myself a Superformance Cobra for my 60th birthday, which is this March. Six years ago I bought a restored '71 Mach 1 to play around with and had a great time with it. The thinking was that I would sell/trade it when it came time to get the Cobra. However when Ford reintroduced the Boss in 2012 it made me start thinking that I could finally get my Boss for about the same money as a Cobra replicar and I could get a lot more use out of it than the sunny day toy. When I found out that 2013 would be the last year for the Boss I had to think real hard on what I wanted to do (especially since the 2013 had the same striping as my fantasy '70 Boss).
I started looking on the internet about 10 months ago to monitor the availability and prices of a 2013 Boss. Two weeks ago I saw an ad for a low mile GHIG 2013 Boss which turned out to be at a classic car dealer a mile from my house. It was a perfect situation, because I knew they would take my '71 in on trade and the 2013 was a pampered beauty. After a bit of haggling, they owned my '71 and I owned the 2013. I only got to drive it 5 days before the rain, cold and snow arrived in Iowa. It's now sitting in the garage under a cover waiting for me to "open" my 60th birthday present next March.
It's going to be a long winter.

I only had my Boss for 4 days before the rain, ice and snow hit so I didn't get the chance to take many pictures. This is all I have until the spring.
