Hi All
ihave finally got my dream car the mustang bullit, i need to get an understanding of why my ambient lights go out when i close the door , or am i being really stupid here i have all the buttons clicked on the console app for ambient lighting set all the prefrences but they all go out when i close the door even when the car is running , any help will be great as to find out when they would come on on normal running conditions mas i said may be i am being stupid, and they only come on when it is dark , but even when i turn the lights from auto to on they still dont come on
thanks kevin

I think the Bullitt might not have the ambient lighting that the later Premium models had? not sure about that . . .
But I'm pretty sure there is a light sensor on the top of the dashboard, that is used to control the dash lights; if that sensor detects that it is light outside, it goes with the "bright" setting on the dashboard lights (so you can see them in the day) and when it senses that it is dark outside, it darkens the dash lights, so they are not too bright in the dark . . . maybe that is controlling the ambient lighting too?
PS -- if you could please use some punctuation and line breaks, rather than "talk to text" which shows up as "stream of consciousness"; that will make it easier for us to read and understand your questions, and you'll probably get better response . . . thanks

Not quite sure I'm following your description in regards to ambient lighting.. I own an older 2006 GT, so perhaps the models prior to 2007-08 didn't have the ambient lights option I'm also not familiar with a light sensor on top of the dash, used to control the dash lights, or just never noticed it.. All I know is when I have the dimmer switch dial turned all the up on the max position, all the dash lights stay lit up when the light switch selector is turned on.. Anyhow, my apologies if I misunderstood any portion of your description.
Meanwhile, as posted above, I would also be very interested in seeing some pics of your Bullitt as well, and also welcome aboard
