An Indecisive New Member
Hello everyone 
I've been lurking around this site for a few weeks now, soaking up as much information as I possibly can. I tripped across the forum while trying to figure out how to order a new 2012.
First, a little bit of a background on me (Get ready, I like to talk alot =) )
I'm a 24 year old, married with two children stay at home mommy. My love for the Mustang started when I was able to see out of the window of the backseat of my parents 1987 Ford Aerostar. The first car I bought at the age of 15 was a 1989 Camaro RS with a new 305.. I loved that car, but just couldn't afford the gas and went with a 2003 Hyundai Elantra. Today I drive a 2002 Buick Lesabre Custom lol. I've been bothering my husband for a few years now to trade it in for a Mustang, but he just wouldn't budge
We finally made a deal, I lose weight and he'll buy me my baby. Well, 6 months and almost -80lbs later we are in the market!
The problem is, there just really aren't any used Mustangs around these parts that I want. I'm not going to settle for something that I won't be satisfied with. I've been researching and looking into ordering a new 2012, but it's alittle bit intimidating. I don't want anything special, I have to have an automatic (don't think my husband would like replacing the clutch every few months), coupe, V6, no need for bells and whistles because I don't drive very often and don't really have the desire for them.
As Mustang owners, what do you suggest? Take the plunge and order what I want, or keep looking at the dealerships?

Welcome to TMS 
The new V6 Mustang is a helluva lot of car for the money. if you don't mind a wait, i'd say order one with the options you want. after all, you waited this long, it might as well be exactly what you want

That's kind of what I was thinking. I'm not going to look all super-cool with two booster seats in the backseat anyways, so why spend the extra money lol. 305 HP is plenty for me, the way that I drive =/

If your not after bells and whistles you may as well order it. This way you avoid paying extra for options you don't want when you settle for "close" to your plan.
On the flip side, all of the available options are cool in their own right. You may end up with a smoking deal if you snag one off of the lot. Especially if you get an '11 now that the '12 are out.
Congrats on the weight loss, and pretty cool motivation you had!
