Hi from Holland

Hi,

I am new at this forum. Bought a black on black orginal 65 factory GT Coupe, which is on its way to Amsterdam and will arrive there at 3/27.

Once it is in Holland, it will be fully restored.

Can't wait. Keep you posted.

Attached some pics ....

Welcome! Very nice car. It will stand out very well in holland. I went to Italy for 2 weeks last year and the car that stood out to me the most was a 75 camaro. It is always cool to see American muscle in Europe.

Home at last

Hi everyone,

Last march I introduced myself and posted some pics the my black on black 65 GT Coupe I bought in Sacremento.

She arrived in Holland on march 28. Since then the car has been stripped down and complete built up again.

The project was completed end of october and in the mean time I have driven my first 100 miles. Too bad dutch winters are not really suitable for every day cruising, but cleaning and polishing also is a lot of fun.

Here some pics of the final result. You'll understand I'm in heaven

I'll post some more pics this weekend. Current one are too big to upload.

Peter

I do have to say that is impressive. Hopefully you'll have some clear days to get cruising!

Can we get a shot of the completed engine under the hood?

That is a sweet engine. ****, seeing pics like that makes me wish I had a classic Mustang. The newer cars are faster, handle better, and are more reliable, but when something does break, you're stranded without a car as they spend a week tearing it apart in a shop. Older cars all you needed was a wrench or two and a few hours because they're simpler and you can actually REACH the parts you need to fix.

You did a fine job on a beautiful classic. Hope it lasts another 50 years!
