Hi all - PaxtonShelby here from Pittsburgh
Hi everyone,
After lurking for a while I decided to register and figured I'd introduce myself. I have an Ivy Green '66 coupe with Wimbledon White Shelby stripes. She has an '85 5.0 roller cam motor with TFS heads emptying into ceramic coated long tubes & Flowmasters dumping in front of the rear axle. My favorite goody is a Paxton Novi 1200 running 6-7 pounds of boost. Behind the 5.0 is a T-5 and a Versailles 9" with a 3.50 Traction-Lok. Discs are Granadas up front and Lincolns in the rear. Suspension is pretty much all Global West, and she rolls on 16 x 8 Vintage 45 rims with 225/50/16s. I built her from the ground up, doing all the work other than body and paint. She's a keeper that isn't perfect, but tons of fun.
My summer driver is a '94 Cobra - black with tan leather - with a 347 stroker, Tremec 3550, subframe connectors, AFR 185's, long tube headers, scattershield, 31 spline rear, driveshaft safety loop, flowmasters, and other goodies. She dyno'd at 366 to the wheels and is a ton of fun to drive. That being said, she is for sale in the very near future. I'll miss her, but I have a good reason for selling...
Just 2 weeks ago I sold our '66 GT coupe. She was a San Jose car with zero rust ever, still wearing all her original sheet metal. Super clean from top to bottom. She came from the factory with the GT option, A/C, Power Steering, AM-8 track, convenience group, and a console. Emberglow on the outside with parchment interior. I will definitely miss her, but again, I have a reason for selling...
Ok - here's the reason. I had a chance to drive a "new" 2011 5.0 a while back. The rest is history. I was so impressed by the car that now I absolutely have to find a way to get one. So...the '94 Cobra and the '66 GT are heading down the road to finance a 2013 GT, as I don't have the funds or the garage space available to keep everything. So when I pull the trigger in the next few months, it will be on a Sterling Gray Metallic Premium GT with the Track Pack, Leather Recaros, Glass Roof, and some other goodies. Winter weather will be here in Pittsburgh before too long, so I'll probably be shooting for an early spring delivery ( why pay to insure it and make payments all winter if it isn't even coming out of the garage? ). Something tells me it is going to be a looooonnnnnnnggg winter...
Anyway, I'm glad to be here and look forward to hanging around a bit more in the coming months.
Thanks,
Ron

Welcome PaxtonShelby! All nice cars but it must have been tough to let that Emberglow coupe go. If you're planning on ordering, dealers have until October 24th to input 2013 orders.

It definitely was tough letting the '66 GT go. It was as clean and original as they come, and the 25 year old restoration still looked gorgeous. My 6-year-old daughter was pretty peeved at me for a couple of days after the GT left on the buyer's flatbed. But after a few days I went over the list of options I wanted, and now she can rattle them off in a few seconds, and is pretty excited about Daddy's new Mustang!

Thanks Brandon. All the cars are really clean - not trailer queen clean, but pretty darn clean! The '94 Cobra is for sale right now - posted in the for sale section here on TMC. It is time to scratch that itch and finally get a new 5.0!
