Thanks 5.0. You settled that, im going to put it on. Will just get new inserts if they bust up. I did the front yesterdy. Fitment was just a tad off, but overall I was real pleased.

And while we are on the subject of lights, I recently purchased tint for front and rear lights, but have not pulled the trigger on installation. I do not want to apply, and have it look cheap. I know you can tear it off easily if you don't like it. To install I need to remove the taillight trim, does anyone know if they come off easily, with the 3M tape attachment. I have this vision of them disintegrating. Any feedback is appreciated.

Looks good, my fogs where a little off as well but there is enough of the grille covering them you can't tell. I didn't do the headlights on mine, but they look very good.

I was the same way, fogs had been done, not the head lights. Im actually going to drop a Roush Grille and Matte Black Super Snake stipes on it over the next two weeks. With the stripes going on, I wanted a more stream lined front, hence the billet grille, and smoked heads. Having some custom made grey "GT 302" stickers to go on the hood scoop. Then im done till winter.

I just blacked out the lights on my '14 GT 'vert. I got a complete kit from these folks:

http://www.anchor-room.com/product_i...iekjgnbbhli830

Under $50 for the entire kit was a no brainer. Figured if I fubar'd them, the cost wouldn't be that painful if I had to eat it.

The material is thin and fairly easy to work with. The curved fog lamps were tricky and I got some wrinkles around the bottom of the lights but it's nothing I can't live with. No one but me is going to get down that close to notice.

Of all the dumb-sh*t things to do, I somehow managed to damage the third brake light decal....the easiest one, no less. Got too cocky with the heat gun I guess. I contacted the vendor...they have a "goof proof" policy if you screw up and will replace the decal at a very reasonable cost.

The chrome pony is distracting. I ordered a matte black one and hope it takes the edge off a bit.

I washed the car yesterday, they all stayed put.

Dang Tom, that is a lot of bang for the buck and it looks good. I swear, I always get cocky and mess something up too. DIY is never a breeze for me. Yesterday I was working on replacing a shift boot, and somehow put a small scratch on the center console. Then the **** shift boot hole was too small for my spacer.

Thanks guys. My intentions are always better than my skills (or patience).

I love the nose of the 2012, and the blacked out tint against my black '14 kinda sorta almost maybe somewhat resembles that earlier Mustang a tiny bit.

How are you going to correct the spacer? Is it plastic or metal? If it's plastic, can you grind it a bit to take some of the diameter off?

I try not to do any interior mods....too much to go wrong. It would make me nuts looking at an eff-up all the time when I'm driving.

It is metal, basic after market spacer for a round shift ****. The company emailed me this morning and told me it will fit if you stretch it. They also included this photo. So the idea would be to remove the spacer, place the boot cover inside out down over the shift lever, screw on the spacer, zip tie around the spacer gap, then slide the boot down. Now the kicker is, the entire time you are doing this Triple Lundy maneuver, you are also handling the entire center console because it is already attached.
At this point, Ill likely be the Dumb A that has to go to a local shop and fess up im the idiot that bought this on line and need your help. Like you, I want it perfect, but it is really going to try my patience. Remember, I already put a small scratch on the console during the fist attempt. It is all I will see now. Even though no one else will.

We have two clubs in this area host some events througout the year. May want to check out the Northern Virginia Mustang Club and the National Capital Region Mustang Clubs. Both have some great folks and are family oriented. They both have a webstite. Close to your area is the Valley Mustang Unlimited Club who will host a Mustang Car Show on 1 Aug. I attended last year and had lots of fun, will go again this year...weather permitting.

Good heads up GT on the car clubs. I have been wrestling with which club to join, Shenandoah Valley, or Richmond. I am right in the middle of both. Because I wrestled with it for over a year, I have yet to join any. I will be there for sure August 1 weather permitting. We can catch up for a few minutes, i'd love to check your car out.

Hey Man,

Sorry about the delay, I was actually up at Carlisle All Ford Nationals with some of our fleet!

I just checked on an ETA for you and we're showing 2-4 weeks out!

Hope this helps.
