Hello from Texas
Received my first 5.0 Brembo and love it. Black on Black. So far I've tinted the windows, Roush CAI and AB Exhaust from Stage 3, added the louver side window covers and replaced the rear spoiler with the GT500 style. I plan on replacing the front and rear valance, the hood with ram air and once I receive a tuner, putting the BOSS 302 intake manifold on it. I would like to eventually lower it as well.

Hey Kona,
I've got the Boss 302 HF Intake Manifold in the box, but the SCT tuner came in defective. What exactly did you have to do to put the intake manifold on and how hard was it. Also, was there a special or custom tune for it??

I did my install based off of these instructions (just ignore the nitrous) and it was pretty easy, just take your time...

As for the parts just get a M8x1.25 bolt with some washers, 2 feet of fuel/emissions hose, & some hose clamps... Those kits are a total rip off... This works great and costs less than $10. Peace

Thanks Kona.
I purchased the 302 IM from eBay, it included the following...
•Fits 2012 Boss 302 and 2011-2012 Mustang GTs with the Coyote 5.0L engine
•Original equipment on the Mustang BOSS 302R and 302S race cars
•Made from light-weight composite material
•Black finish
•Channels more air directly into your engine
•Includes intake gaskets
•Short runners for optimum flow at high RPMs
•Calibration required
•Includes unique Ford Racing intake badge
•Complete kit! Includes all parts needed for installation on base 5.0L Mustang GT engine!
Includes the following Ford Service Parts required to install Boss 302 intake on base 5.0L Mustang GT engine:
•Ford Service Part # : CR3Z-9G297-A, Hose (1 pc.)
•Ford Service Part # : CR3Z-9G290-B, Bracket (1 pc.)
•Ford Service Part # : CR3Z-9J280-A, Fuel Lines (1 pc.)
•Ford Service Part # : W506974-S437, Screw M6x16mm (1 pc.)
•Ford Service Part # : CR3Z-9B659-B, Air Inlet Tube (1 pc.)
From what I saw on the link you provided and what I see is included, do you think I'm missing anything or do you think I'm ok once I get my SCT back. Also, where can I get the custom tune for it for the Boss?
Mike

Awesome, thanks brother. I was a little leary about buying the setup, but the reviews were good and it appeared to be stock. Once I get the SCT back, I hear Stage 3 has the custom tune for it. I'll need to get a custom tune for it prior to tearing my engine apart.

Welcome, I just joined up myself. I was on a different mustang forum for a while, but have noticed there are more members closer to my area on this forum. I bought a '12 GT premium with 3.73s and the Brembo package back in May. I have a few minor mods and am looking for a dyno shop in Austin that is familiar with the new 5.0 motors. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the input. It's good to know there are some knowledgeable tuners not too far away. So, for those of you that have been on the dyno, what A/F ratio is considered safe or normal for these motors?

Hey Kona,
Finally got the Boss 302 installed with the I stall kit so didn't need any fuel line or Gerry rigging. The package didn't come with any instructions so the video you provided was a great help until it came to those lines. I put my head together and figured it out. So far, with the SCT custom tune, it purrs like a kitten but I feel I need to get to the dyno.
Thanks for your previous help and input.
