Greets from West Texas!
Hiya Y'all!
I've wanted a Mustang since I was in high school (many years ago) and I think my dream may finally come true. Turns out my daughter is about to need a car to drive to school and has laid claim to my 07 Saturn Vue. Goodbye Mom-Mobile and hello new mustang!
I'm off to test drive a 2012 V6 Premium this afternoon - and will hopefully soon be the proud owner of a Lava Red with the Pony Package.
I'm totally obsessing and hope it all goes as planned!
Any advice for a soon-to-be proud new owner on how to keep it shiny and beautiful forever?

She seems quite content with the V-6.
Hope to see you posting that it's actually yours! I still haven't seen a Lava Red Stang yet.
Theres alot of stuff to keep it looking good. Living in Texas tint should be your first stop

Since I also live in West Texas, if you want to keep it beautiful never wipe off the dust without using a microfiber cloth and detailer. I do the full wipe down at least 3 times a week. Hope you got your dream car.

I love the car and it is a blast to drive... although down the road, once I can afford it, would like to swap put for the V8.

It'll be mine by friday!
And yes, I'm quite content with a V6 - its a driver, not a racer for me.. and over the saturn vue I'm leaving behind its plenty of power for me.
Besides the GT was out of my price range.![Frown](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Tint - I've never had a car tinted before, any previous came already tinted - what sort of percent should I look into?

Oh yeah - I have a full set of microfiber coming, along with a pile of cool detailing products. Gonna be kept as close to showroom pristine as I possibly can! ![Big Grin](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Gonna be a serious fight with all of our blowing dirt I'm sure.
