OK lets see, Ill try to keep this short and not long winded.....

first on Saturday I went to the monthly Carldbad meet, here are some pics.....
http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/rrobel...bum?.dir=/32f1

afterwards SurfnSoCal and myself went back to my place and polished up our valve covers, we took his off and were running out of time so I did mine on....

here are mine (you can see my new JBA Cat4Wards in some of the pics that were installed last Monday).....

then on Sunday I went to the Main Street America Car Show on the Embarcadero hosted by the Corvette Club and it was awesome, lots of really cool cars and way too many to take pics of all of them, I definately didnt have enough space on my digital for them all, but here is what I did get.....

then, and this is the coolest part, yesterday my car was in a commercial shoot for Direct Wheels in Los Alamitos CA, it will be aired 324 times on MTV, ESPN CLASSIC, SPIKE TV, and THE DISCOVERY CHANNEL, during shows like Moster Garage, Pimp My Ride, HP TV, Car and Driver TV (that whole powerblock), and other shows on those channels like these listed. My car will be the center piece of the commercial, they had a model drive the car in and then it shows her talking to the owner of the company then driving off with the new 20" Axis wheels (not my cup of tea but thats what they chose to show off) along with a montage of other clips of the shop and us shopping (so I might be in it too) and the other cars in the show room and out front, the poor girl (and my poor car) driving my car didnt know how to drive a stick, so I had 2 minutes to give her a crash (no pun intended) lesson, she surprisingly picked it up real quick, and the last take chirped the wheels and launched like she was drag racing....lol....here are the pics I took while there and I will post the vids I took as soon as I can upload them.....

love the way you frame your shots. Sometimes cut off a bit much at the top, but never miss the important parts... like the headlights

thanks....sometimes at these shows it is very difficult to get a good shot because of other cars, cant get positioned properly to get the whole car in so I do what I can, and I am a stinker for the small details on cars, thats why on the early 50s cars you see a lot of grill and headlight shots and a lot of hood ornaments and other ornamentation like that, I think they are very beautifully crafted works of art.

I was pretty excited to hear it was in the commercial! I can't wait to see it on TV. Those rims aren't real nice looking but still very cool. when I see it I'll be like, "yeah, I've talked to the owner of that car"

hey it would be more that just national TV cause we get those channels up here to

I was told it was nationwide....I know that each nation wide channel airs both local and national commercials, so I dont know if this one will be specific to certain areas, but like I said I was told it was nation wide, apparently Direct Wheels is a very large company and the largest wheel retailer in the Western Region (whatever that means) so I guess we will wait and see, either way I am suppose to be getting a copy of the commercial and I will post that as soon as I can....

I dont like the wheels they used either but whatever its their commercial, they wanted 20s and I those are the ones they went with, whatever....

oh and by the way the DPR decals on the car are of a local shop here in SD, the guys that started it are good guys and know their stuff, have worked on several 05s already, they use to work for JBA, if you need work done contact them or if you need parts they are very well priced....just tell them that you heard of them through posts about Richards 05 GT being in the commercial or once it airs tell them you saw the commercial, hopefully it will start airing next week like I was told. Here is their info....
