Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Replacement Broken Vac Hose

I have a 2010 v6 and was replacing my fuel rail pressure sensor because I got a P1093 code. Anyways the vacuum hose that runs from the sensor to the intake snapped while I was taking it off and I have to order a new part:
This is more than I need but the actual part that broke is the smaller piece, it'll make sense if you click the link or if you don't trust random links lookup part #9E498
(https://www.getoemparts.com/oem-part...iABEgJt7fD_BwE)
While waiting for the part I still need my car so I got a rubber tube and some metal clamps and rigged something up (I will post pictures once off work). There is no noticeable difference at all in the performance.

My main question: is this piece extremely essential because I have a 2.5 hour drive tomorrow and without the new part my rig will have to do, how okay/not okay is this?
