Good ideal. I think I will go ahead and see what Ford does with my claim. I would really like to get the tranny fixed by Ford but if they don't then I will install my new parts.
I can do it in about 3 or 4 hours as I have a 2 post lift in my shop.
I am really disappointed with Ford because they marketed the Boss as a preformance car and then put a chinese tranny in it and if you do anything to try to fix it you loose your warrenty.
I was going to buy one of the new GT 350's to go with the
boss but after this I believe I have bought my last new Ford except for the F-150.

One thing I forgot to mention is that there is a faint whine comeing from the tranny area. I suspect a clutch problem. It has made this sound from the day I got it so maybe it is normal.
Talking to the service man at the Ford dealership he said the clutch is out of warrenty [12,000 miles or 12 month's].
He did say if I had a case number from the first time I contacted Ford then if the clutch is bad then they might be able to warrenty it because I was below the warrenty time and mileage when first reported.
I would like it warrenteed if that is the problem but if I have to I will buy a good after market clutch setup.
Anybody have any suggestions for a good clutch setup?
Thanks
Greg

Update 4-8-15

Another update.
Received a call from Ford service this morning. They said I had a appointment for tuesday and I didn't show up.
I was never contacted and told I had one.
I was told to wait till this Monday and they would work me in and to call back Wendsay if no one contacted me. I called Wendsay and was told they would call me when they had a loaner car ready for me to use. He said I was number 3 on the list for a loaner and never mentioned a Tuesday appointment.
The lady from Ford service said she would offer me $30.00 a day if I would rent a car which is ok but I have the same problem. It is a 70 mile round trip and I have no one to take me to get a rental.
I have other Fords so it is not a transport problem but having someone to take me there. If I have that I would just take the Boss to Ford and leave it.
Greg
Received a call from the Dealership today and they made a appointment for next Monday.
They still don't have a loaner but Ford arranged a rental for me.
I was going to rent one myself so I could get this taken care of but the car rental companys wanted $89.00 a day for a rental and Ford would only pay $30.00.
I do appricate Ford arrangeing for a rental and I really hope they can take care of the problems with my Boss.
Greg

Final update for a while
The dealership had their tech and their parts manager drive it and of course it wouldn't do it.
They called me today and wanted me to drive it and see if I could get it to replicate the problem.
I ran it up to the rev limiter in each gear and it wouldn't do it for me. Tried 3 times.
I asked the manager if he could see anything I was doing wrong and he didn't see me shifting incorrectly. He did say they would never drive the car like I did but I told him I was just trying to get the tranny to repete the problem and I never drive the car that hard.
It did show some problem down shifting at normal driving speeds but nothing serious .
He said he wouldn't recommend takeing it apart now because we couldn't get it to lock up on the second to third upshift.
I have to agree with him so will just wait for the problem to get worse which will happen 1 mile after the warrenty is up.
I do want to thank Deysha for her help.
I will make a decision if I am going to keep the car or get something else as I really don't want to pay for another tranny.

Another update
Judy from Ford called this morning and said that since we couldn't reproduce the problem that Ford would give me an extended warrenty to 75,000 miles to cover my concern's about the tranny at no cost to me.
I really didn't expect this and want to thank everyone at Ford for their help.

Received the contract yesterday. It covers the powertrain to 75,000 or 5 years from date of purchase which was 5-12.
