I ordered mine from the factory on 6/4/05 and received it on 9/30/05. Longest 4 months of my life. Wife hated it with a passion, or should I say EX!!! I've dreamed of doing modifications since that time. Warranty is long done and now is the time. I'm more old and broken down than 13 years ago so I'm going to be slower than I would then.

 

Welcome to TMS and also congrats on being a long-term S197 owner. Post some pics of your 05 when you get the chance, as we all would be very interested in seeing your ride

 

Thank you for the welcome. I just got in the Steeda CAI and SCT X4 tuner(waiting on the tune), Borla type S axleback and Hurst shifter. Appearance mods: MMD ducktail spoiler, MMD deck lid panel and chin spoiler. Tomorrow is the best weather day so I will start then.

 

So how do you like the Borla S type axle back and Hurst shifter? Are you running cats or off road? I also have the Hurst shifter and Borla S type axle backs with Mac off-road Pro chamber. My only complaint with the Borla S type is the interior resonance drone, but other than that, I've been really pleased with how great they sound.

 

I like the sound from all the reviews I've heard. I haven't installed Hurst shifter yet but there seems to be mixed reviews on it especially early on in the S197 production. So we will see. Not doing anything like cats or H or X pipe yet.
