Cool First time Mustang Owner

Hello,
My name is Jose. I am a Chief Petty Officer of the United States Navy. I always drove GM cars, my first car was a 1979 Firebird formula, from there I went to a couple of 86 and 87 IROC's, an 87 Grand National, 84 Trans AM and a 99 WS6 Firebird Formula, which was my favorite. I needed a newer car, I wanted a mustang for a while. My father had a beautiful 1970 mustang when I was a little kid. I loved that car. I was drawn in by the 2011 V6 with 305HP. The only one the dealer had was a premium performance white auto. To be honest I was a little disappointed because it did not feel like a 305HP car, but I bought it anyway. I started modifying it with flowmasters, airaid CAI and a SCT tuner from AM/BAMA. Needless to say, WOW! This is how the car should have been tuned from the factory. I just love the car and the MPG is great.
Now I want to ad a set of 3.55 gears and a set of headers etc.
I better stop babbling, I just want to say it is great to join the forum.
Thanks!

Welcome to TMS and Congratulations on the 2011 V6, they're great cars! I see you didn't waste any time at all and jumped right into the modification game and have some future mods already planned, that's awesome. I'm glad you're enjoying your Bama tune and Airaid CAi, that's a sick combo!

You'll meet a lot of great people and find a ton of awesome reads on this forum, so get out there and enjoy it! Let me know if you ever have any questions or need some assistance.

Most importantly, Thank you for your Service and Bravery!

-Dan

Welcome and congrats on the new ride and the oval ownership club. I almost went that route but the 5.0 was just so tempting. High five from a fellow brother in arms.

Well Thank you guys. I appreciate all your comments. I am going to transfer to Coronado, California in 2 months and I am a little worried about my Airaid CAI. I heard CA is the most stringent state when it comes to modifying cars. Any of you from CA at all? I kept my stock box in my garage just in case. Again thank you for the warm welcome.

You are in the military you can keep your old plates and tabs as long as your still enlisted. At least that was the way it was for me when I was a junior bird man. By the way nice ride

I see that we have similar tastes in G-bodies and F-bodies from the GM side of the universe. Here is my 'family' below. Welcome aboard!
