First shoot of me and my car - be nice...(56K warning)
#23
JedCranium (our resident photographer), habu and myself went out for a photoshoot last Sunday. My son and niece tagged along for the ride and (my niece) Kai ended up being the star Model!
Made a short YouTube vid of the shoot, maybe you can get some ideas from it?

And the next award goes to director TacoBill!
Great job on the video Bill! Makes we want to do some more shooting! I like how we just did it! Keep an eye out for some other shooting locations.
I think an industrial urban setting would be intresting as long as its safe.

That's a cool little video, I'll be sure to bookmark it for some ideas. The one thing that I notice is that your niece is a better height proportionatly (spelling?) for the Mustang then I am. Me + my lowered car + high heels = me being a lot taller then the car. That's why I was having some issues because I felt like i could never stand straight right beside it.
That's another reason why I didn't try to replicate that VW Rabbit photo with the girl lying on the top of the roof of the car (on her stomach). Even from my elbows to my knees I'd be too long of the roof; it'd probably look stupid.
Anyways, thanks agani for the feedback. I think I know which photos I like but it's interesting what other people say.
PS - the car was parked when I was doing this, I don't normally wear lipgloss, let alone put it on in such an excentric manner while driving! ha...

Nice shots Kristina. Your BF is a very luck guy to have found a girl who loves cars (wish I could find one, lol)! You have nothing to worry about with these shots. Very classy and tasteful.

Thanks! I'm lucky to have found a BF that likes cars too, but shares the same tastes as I do. Even though he has an MKV GTI, he does quite like my Mustang. It's harder then you'd think for a girl like me to find a guy I'm compatible with. I once dated someone who didn't know what V8 meant! That didn't last long...

Krissy Krissy Krissy, I never woulda thought you would stoop to posting such insinuating pictures of yourself on the internet like this
J/k, they are fabulous pics and im very impressed with your professionalism and taste in the matter. Definitely respectable
Ill have to check out your site to see the others.
Btw the 4th pic (first of the 2 in black dress) reminded me of the stacy keibler chick.
Edit: Something that slipped my mind (imagine that), in your day shots, try shooting either on an overcast day where the sun light is difussed or early in the morning or late in the evening... even shooting in a shady spot (DSLR's will pick up light that may look to dark to us) will help. The reason im saying this is because the sun is the harshest light imaginable (aside from non-difused flashes) and it does nothing but cast hard shadows and washes your colors out tremendously. If you shoot at dawn/dusk, shade or overcast, you'll get much more contrast and "pop" to your colors. Just a thought of something for you to try out.
For an example, this pic clicky wouldnt have your face so dark and unrecognizeable if that makes sense. It would be a share darker but not such a drastic contrast from the non-shadow part of your skin.

Hey Kristina, I have a question: those look like the OEM 18" fanblades...can you tell me what Brembo kit fit beneath them, and did you have to use spacers to avoid interference from the rims?
Thanks.
Thanks.
