Another one joins the club
Hello fellow Mustang fans. I swore to myself I would never join a forum or club. A bit non-social here. But I keep finding myself looking and reading about something here. Usually a google search leads me here. So, I broke down. I guess I need to find a local club next.
So, not too much about myself. Always a bit paranoid. I've worked with some serious computer geeks and "ethical" hackers. Never looked at the internet the same way. Really scary ...stuff.
My ride...her name is Lexi. Okay, before you go all crazy on me, the Mrs. picked that name...says it rhymes with Sexy. Which...they both are. I prefer Black Sunshine...being a Zombie fan and all. But I'm sure there's 100+ mustangs that go by that name out there. So Lexi...she is.
She's a 2012 GT. I actually bought her "used" with 6800 miles back in Feb 2013. I know...crazy. I just couldn't resist once I saw her...and the deal I got on her. After some good road trips I just turned 20K. So sad. She's my daily with about 28 miles round trip a day. Then some weekend cruising. Did a 1300 mile round trip trek from NC to Tampa, FL back in July. Some good areas to stretch her legs. WOW...these cars are fast!
Not too many mods at this point. I figured I'll save up some for the day the warranty runs dry. The question is do I wait all the way until powertrain...seems so far away. If I ever win the lottery...then forget it.
So as of now...Roush CAI, hood struts, JLT oil separator, Roush axle back "motor boating it", Ford Racing K springs, Whiteline Pan hard and brace, Whiteline transmission mount bushing, Barton 2 post shift bracket, she still shifts like crap!!! My 2003 Saturn L200 5spd shift like a dream...thank you SAAB. I don't get this one at all.
So as I am sure most of us here. The build list is endless. I'm mostly focused on performance. Not too worried about her looks. One day I'd like to have her track ready. Got a ways to go.
In the meantime. I look forward to reading (researching) more and now being able to compliment others rides.
