Another new guy

I recently got the bug to start messing with my stock '07 GT convertible and stumbled on this oustanding forum last week! All I can say is WOW!!!

With our cold weather starting to creep in here in WI, so I plan to use this site to help with my planning for a couple upgrades to have installed by spring (CAI, wheels/tires, short throw shifter, axle backs, and who knws what else now that my mind is spinning). Having sold my last "muscle car" about 5 years ago, the bug is back!! So much for a couple projects I had planned for the house, but obviously this will move the garage heater to the top of the list.

Thanks again and keep up the great work as this site is proving to be invaluable with answering questions about everything associated with these cars! Along with providing a host of resources and supplier info.

Welcome. That is exactly how my story started also. I'd say do the CAI/Tuner first as it seemed to me to be the biggest bang for the buck.

Thanks for the welcomes and the advice on going with the CAI first. I will more than likely be going with the C&L package as it seems to well built and at a decent price for the kit that includes the Diablo programmer that is preloaded... found a new one for $669 delivered. Unless of course I come across a killer used deal on this site before getting it ordered!

Well, I grew up a "bow tie" guy (don't hold that against me please - hehe) and spent the better part of 16 years restoring a '68 Chevy Nova SS (350, 4-speed, 4:11 posi) that ran in the mid-13's. But obviously now with the GT, my tinkering will be a whole new experience as that other project started with a rolling chasis and I built everything from ground up including everything from the motor to suspension, tranny, rear end, body, full interior, etc. So I did get a little burned out... But now the bug is back!

As requested by future9er24, here is shot of my last muscle car. Disregard the "dorky" looking guy standing next to it

Yeah, it kind of was the typical sleeper. But now I need to make some "stealthy" upgrades to new one!
