Just got my mid life crisis car (20 years late), a 2014 Mustang convertible (69k miles) with the V6, power drivers seat and MCA package plus upgraded wheels. Last summer my wife and I rented a 2020 Camaro convertible with turbo 4 and although nice I like the looks of Mustang better especially the current and last gen. Plus the extra 30 ponies is nice as well. The prices have been crazy and this one popped up yesterday morning so I said let go take it for a spin and loved it, nice throaty exhaust for a 6. She is a free spirit so think we'll be drawing straws on who gets to take it to work certain days! For a base model it is nice with everything i need. Going to get the 303 protectant kit as the top looks like it needs a little love.
Glad to to have a two door again with a little punch under the hood. Sadly as is the case with used cars it is missing factory floor mats and the boot cover(not sure if that is necessary to get one). And love the option to change dash colors and halo, already pick my Fave going with the green like in my 04 F150 heritage. And the lit up Mustang on sill is so freaking cool. Only thing I wish it had was the digital speedometer. Oh and CEL is not stuck on I was just sitting in car with accessory to snap pic.
Welcome aboard and congrats! Also, thanks for sharing images of your new to you 2014 RubyRed Mustang convertible... She looks absolutely stunning and hope you and your wife will enjoy many great years of miles and smiles to come.
Yikes yeah not cheap. Are those boot covers important or just to dress it up? If I am driving on the highway at 80 do I have to be concerned the wind will get up under it?

I Know We Got Some 2nd Gen Sn197 Vert Owners Currently Posting so I Will Defer to Them as To Any Benefits or Issues of the Cover!
Some Folks Also Use These Which Are For Wind Turbulence! For Folks Who Still Have Hair or Wear Loose Hats!
Congratulations on the Mustang 'vert. For proper top care, this may help you. I am not expecting everyone to follow this time consuming procedure but it may help you out. The rewards are worth the effort. See post #4 if interested. https://themustangsource.com/forums/...530786/index2/
I see your concern about the boot cover and all I can say is you do NOT need one unless you like the looks of one. The 2007 GT/CS we owned for many years is the same top as our current 2014 GT. We have been all over the US and Canada and never needed one or wanted one. The car looks fine to us and the wind does NOT catch underneath. We have never had an issue. What a pleasure to just put the top down and drive with no added 'work'. I doubt we have ever been over 80 mph with the top down though. It just gets too windy and is not enjoyable.
Our current and past two 'verts with the top down on the Tail of the Dragon on the NC/TN border.
Welcome to the site! Congrats on your sweet looking '14 Ruby Red topless! Nice to see your pictures thanks for them!
I too have driven a few of the newer Camaro's, as rental cars... You will be thankful you are not in one of those. Very poor viability and no room, in mho. Love my '14 couple, sure you will love yours too!
Kevin! You're slipping up bud... The code name is S197 not SN-197

I wasn't aware of the build documents including the "N" All I know is the official code name has always been referred to as S197!
