2013 Mustang Premium 6-speed
On 7-15-2012 bought a GT Premium, loaded with options, $47,000 + T & L. On 7-17-2012, I totalled the car, "driver error". Took out a light pole, and went into a 50 ft. deep ravine, rolled, and it took 45 minutes to cut me out. Shaved off oil pan, broke off front wheels, etc. Firemen as they got to car, said "don't think anyone survived that". Had 276 miles with car.
I LOVED that car! I've owned 81 new cars since 1964, Hemi Challenger, Corvette, Z-28's and Porsche 911. This car was my favorite. Great accelleration, handling, quality construction, and seatbelts/airbags!
Didn't like voice command GPS, back up camera, brake dive.
Hopefully Wawanesa will pay all but $3000, and I've ordered a new GT, with 2 options, GT Track Package $2495, and cloth Recaro seats $1595. Save $10,000.

Yes, that's the "before" picture, the salvage yard wouldn't let me take "after" pictures. No major injuries, lots of brusing, glass cuts, and left leg got hit real hard. It was my own fault, trying to accelerate to get on the on ramp. I'll have to wait 3 weeks till insurance pays off wrecked car, then I can take delivery of new white GT.

Glad your baby took care of you during the incident Welcome!!
Wawanesa is pretty good, I had a problem with my other car and they were right on it.
may the first R.I.P. -- long live her successor!!

I think Mustangs are first rate, in crash protection. Seatbelts and airbags work perfectly. Body absorbed heavy impact and roll over. All observers were surprised, I survived. Crashed a 2006 GTO, and was burned severely by airbags, also couldn't see at all, from"red smoke"from airbags. Chest and face 3d degree burns, very painful and took months to heal. I think Ford has better design than GM or Chrysler. My car had every option available, cost $3000 more than Boss 302. I could've gotten a Boss 302, but I didn't like it as well as GT Premium.
P.S., Wawanesa is the best Insurance out there, IMO.

As I write this the adjuster is completing his write up. If it's $22,000, then I get a new car, if not, I'm screwed. Really hope it's TOTALLED. Then they'll pay $44,000, and I get a new car!

Well, the insurance co. doesn't want to "total" my car? Initially they said, $22,000 would be enough damage to total car. They reached $25,000 damage, but still not enough. I had to have it towed to "body shop of my choice" in Mission Viejo,to put it on a lift and evaluate damage under car. I believe the front suspension, oil pan/engine, and transmission are trashed, so that should do it. They're reluctant to total a $44,000 car, so they've towed it 300 miles, and will have 3 "adjusters"evaluate the car? I "evaluated" the car while hanging upside down for 45 minutes inside. My conclusion, TOTALLED, clearly! They got a bid for $5000, as salvage, so they want $14,000 more in damages? Confusing "process", and expensive, but it's still going to be totalled!

Another day of "evaluating damage". I finally got to take some pictures. They said I couldn't take any pictures, but I said "my car, my camera, I'll take pictures if I want to".

Even though repair estimate is more than $25,000, Wawanesa wants to "fix" my car. The frame is bent, and I don't want this car, no matter what they "fix". Guess we'll have to argue till they TOTAL, the car.
