hey all, just an intro to myself, my name is Bill from north New Jersey. Im 20 years old and in college. this 89 GT is my 12th (yes, 12th) vehicle and definately one of my favorites. heres the story of my cars:

June 1999, Age 15: spotted and fell in love with a slick black 1982 GT at local used car lot. checked it out and test drove it with dad, everything is great. we go one saturday morning to buy it and it had been sold at 7PM the night before. im disappointed. then i spot a black 1985 GT on the same lot. spur of the moment decision brought it home that day. shoulda looked more carefully because this car was a mega POS. i guess you get what you pay for ($1000) sold in 2000 for $1100.

May 2000, Age 16: got on a 4x4 kick and bought a 1984 Bronco II. Neat little truck. wouldnt pass inspection, though. sold it in may of 2001.

December 2000, Age 16: while the bronco was for sale, i saved enough money to pick up a neat black 85 GT w/t-tops for $1500. it was an absolute steal at that price. it needed some work but was overall a good car. i drove it for about 5 months and had alot of fun in it, but then i spotted my next car and had to have it.

June 2001, Age 17: found a reaaaaly slick looking black (seeing a pattern yet?) 1991 LX 5.0 hatchback with a black interior. had a sunroof, headers, flowmasters, and a 5-lug conversion. price was great at $4000. my loving aunt loaned me the money and worked at paying her back. put on a cold air kit and off road h pipe while i had it, and racked up some miles. this was the car i drove to HS every day during my sr year of 2001-2002. AWESOME CAR.

September 2002, Age 18: first day working as a technicians apprentice at a chevy dealer and on the lot i see a recent trade in. its a black 1997 cobra coupe. my new full time job at the dealership let me afford it easily. it wasnt perfect but the price was right. i sold my 91 LX for $3500 (BIG mistake) and drove the cobra. ripped off a 13.58 in the 1/4 mile on a nice cold day.

December 2002, Age 18: cant drive the cobra in the winter so i got a 1979 2.3L Turbo hatchback mustang for $800. very cool car and alot of fun, but i sold it in the spring because i didnt really need the car and i had plans for the cobra.

May 2003, Age 19: Loving parents, in support of my decision to go back to school, offer to buy me a car to commute with. i choose a 1995 Taurus SHO ATX. very cool car but ended up not really suiting me. i missed my mustangs badly. moms explorer was on its last legs so she took over driving the SHO. she loves it.

July 2003, Age 19: wanted a fox project and got a 1984 GT. needed a bit of work, and when i decided to quit my job at the chevy dealer and go back to school, it proved to be too much. sold to my friend in october.

October 2003, Age 19: in my quest to have a good stang daily driver (trying to preserve the cobra as much as possible) i pick up a MINT 1989 LX 5.0 hatch. I LOVED this car. i would never have gotten rid of it if it wasnt for an old man who pulled RIGHT out in front of me from a gas station. i couldnt stop and nailed him in the drivers door. my car was totalled, the front end knocked over 1/4" poor car.

January 2004, Age 19: decided a truck was best for the winter and such, and the cobra was good to drive in the spring/summer/fall so i found a nice 92 F150 4x4. have been using it since i got it and its awesome.

July 2004, Age 20: Decided to sell the cobra. its cool but i have a thing for foxes. plus, with not working full time anymore i couldnt pay for it anymore. so i got the 89 GT you see here to replace it. my signature details the mods. i LOVE this car and i am done buying and selling cars. it has been fun, but its gotten old.

so thats the story of my 11 cars in 5 years. quite odd id suppose haha. ok now that ive bored u to death, carry on with what you were doing ...haha
