Just curious to know what you all do for a living, how you like your job, what the job market is like in your area, etc, etc. I work in the forever diminishing manufacturing sector, until they decide they can make more money across the pond or across the border.

The job market is ok in my area, but it is tough when you don't have much experience.

Sorry to hear it. I guess the job market ain't that great in Canada.

I'm a Mechanical Engineer doing consulting work in Atlanta. The job market for ME's in the southeast is booming.

Which one you want?

I manage the accounts for a telecom company since 1999. Telecom is booming- just not in Alabama. Where I work

And I Am also an administrative assistant looking for more work. Apparently the only way to get a job in that field no matter how good you are- is to be a slack who sleeps all day.

And I find those admin jobs by being a temp.

Section supervisor of Technical Information Services at a large petro-chemical complex. I work with a lot of engineers and draftsman and I can tell you that there is shortage of both engineers (all disciplines) and draftsmen/CAD operators.

Here's where I most like to spend my time (when I'm not behind the wheel, that is) - in our Avid post suite.
