Your Gasoline Purchases at Work
AN ENGINEERING MASTERPIECE

Apparently, when you have unlimited oil dollars, this is one way you spend it.
Construction Phase:
Finished. Notice the size of the palm trees - this thing is HUGE!!
This is what's inside:

Actually, this was built in 2006, but this is the first time I've ever seen it.

Pics don't work, but I've seen it before.
That's nothing compared to the "Palm Island" and "The World" man made island/communities/mini-cities that they are building in the ocean. Google it if you don't know what I mean.

Just had to make quick comment about this. Dubbai. if I remember correctly only has about 10 more years of oil reserves left. So in an attempt to make sure they have future revenue the Sheiks decided that tourism would be the cash cow of the future. The original palm Island was started in 2001 and halted for awhile after 9/11.
