Any news on what the price will be?
If it replaces the x360, cost and all (a la the DS Lite), then they will sell them at a great number.
The Wii was able to almost match the X360 sells this holiday seasons, even though the Wii had limited numbers, so this new X360 might just be what the doctor ordered for Microsoft. Probably why they are making this refresh

Yeah. I don't have a HDTV so 1080p output doesn't matter.. YET. But running cooler is a big +... heck, they need to quiet down the DVD drive while they are at it.. and put the HD-DVD inside too!! For that I'd sell mine and buy a new one.
The HD inside would drive price up though.
I think they are smart keeping it out.
Don't be POS3 and force it on people (and up the cost)
The Wii WILL have a price drop within a year from what I've heard.
It makes a good proffit as it is.
The X and PS3 take hits out of the box, and will be a while till they can pull a proffit from hardware.
Nintendo is smart in the way they do things. Its cheap, but it turns profit, and can absorbe a price drop more than the comp.

With the 120gb drive, the XBox video store will look like less of a joke and might actually see some decent use. I'm still amazed that Major Nelson tried to pass it off as a good idea to buy something like an entire season of Star Trek and save it onto a separate 20gb ($100) hard disk. The disk alone is more then the DVDs, not including the cost of buying the episodes.
Microsoft needs to unify their media efforts if they want to try and take a chunk of the iTunes market share. The Zune, the XBox, and Vista appear to be going in 3 directions at once.
