Funny story.....The Wii Marketplace works now. Turns out we couldn't get a signal where we had it sitting. I now have SNES Sim City and Zelda but still have not played it.(even though its sitting here going to me)

I feel bad for a friend of mine.
I've looked everywhere for a Wii for him since Sunday.

125 went onsale at Bestbuy.ca 10am friday... they were sold out at 10:05am

He couldn't add one to his cart, but another friend of his did.
Ordered it, and is saying now... 'I want to keep it and sell it on ebay'
He was suppose to be getting it for my friend... not keep it.

I was ALL OVER the place yesterday and I didn't see one single Wii. To boot, I also haven't seen accessories. I got a classic controller the first night, and I have not seen them for sale anywhere since.

My friend (the one who still 'needs' one) bought Monkey Ball and the Classic controller...but has no unit to play on

At the Futureshop where i bought it... they still have no controllers left... classic or otherwise.
Zelda is sold out.. they have some other games...

The only thing on the accessory shelf is batteries and 2000 points cards

i cant find any more wiimotes... im gonna ask for em for xmas and hope my mom can find one or two... i want to get zelda but no money i cant afford stuff for my stang or my wii

Just went by ToysRUs to get SmackDown VS RAW 07.. and picked up a classic controller (the last one)

NO wiimotes or nunchucks ANYWHERE to be found.
Of course I asked about the consoles. (had some in yesterday... all sold out)

Dang...

My friend ROCKS! We stayed up late Thursday night playing several of the Wii games and decided to get one also. The next day we were on a mission ... and could not find anything ... nothing. After half a day of failure, my friend calls ( he had been out on his own quests for other stuff ) and asked if we still wanted one. He was in Electronics Boutique and mentioned to the guy that he was on the lookout for me. The guy had gotten 5 in and my friend got me one. We are having a blast with it.

Quick question though... since I havent seen the LoZ game anywhere, I havent been able to see if they wrapped the cover with some type of shinny foil... did they?

Brian- what can friend codes do on the Wii so far?
I know on the DS, friend codes work to play each other wirelessly

Wow Wow, Interesting.
I finally sat down and played the Wii last night.

I can't flipping believe I played Sim City on the SNES for a year! Playing it now the graphics are horrid. But its still SOOOOOOO FUN!

I also got Altered beast, another favorite. My son couldn't believe they passed for games in the early 90s.

The VC isn't fully up- there are not many games. Zelda for the NES is the only one I saw, I want the SNES version. I would LOVE the secret of Mana for the SNES to pop up on there too!

I waited in line for an hour, but I wasn't able to get a Wii. They gave out 50 vouchers for all the ones they had at 8:30. I got there at 9:20; by the time the doors opened at 10 there were about 60 people in front of me and 40 in back, so I was SOL for getting one without a voucher.

I think the Wiimote is cool- you move your hand to put the cursor where you want it.

I REALLY like the classic controller though.

No, I have not played Zelda, I leave that for Brian, I love my pinatas too much to get reinvolved in something else.

Is anyone else having troubles finding accessories?
I snatched up the classic the night it went on sale, but I have not seen more than a Wiimote anywhere since. Not even a skin for it(we skinned our 360) The Wiimote sleeves I have only seen pink and blue for.

Our zelda game also did not come wrapped in foil. The disc itself is gold and white, but the box is a normal wii box.

The wii console numbers allow you to send messages on the message board. it also allows you to send mii's to others... right now they dont have online game play so thats pretty much all you can do but im guessing when they add online game play you will be able to see if your friends are playing the games
