That actually wasn't in the script. He was supposed to fight him... But Harrison Ford had a bad case of diarrhea that day and just took out his gun and shot him and ran to the bathroom.

 

Yup, he was too sick for a fight scene. It fit the story/character pretty well though

Yes, it's a movie clip. The guy who punched out the Capoera dude was the antagonist of the film "Never Back Down". Not a bad film as far as martial arts films go.

I think the point was that real fighting is not about acrobatics and fancy flips (sorry Capoera guys). BJJ/boxing practitioner here.
