Yeah I was going to get the special when I went in. I was really excited, I was going to get the wine red but then my friends bandmate showed up and since he's a manager he was able to get me out the door with the standard and a case for $800 bucks. I was going nuts because I never thought I would be able to afford the standard. I guess it was one they ordered for someone and he went with black instead. They hadn't put it out on the floor yet so he was able to give it to me for so cheap. I kinda sensed a little shadiness going on but to be honest thats about the last thing I was thinking about. Now if I could only learn how to play it as well as it deserves to be played I'd be all set.

IT's definitely not my most prized possessions but(since we are talking about it) here is the kind of bass I own. Three of them, black, blue and cherry.[attachmentid=37082]

My show amp...[attachmentid=37083]

My 2 Technics 1200 M3D turntables and tons of vinyl that can never be replaced.
The mixer is crap, but those decks...
They'll last 'till I'm wormfood.

I have several prized possessions not counting family.

1. The American Flag from my father's funeral that the VFW gave me.

2. The memories and pictures/souveniers I picked up form my trip to Normandie last year while taking my father in law to the 60th anniversary of his landing at Omaha Beach on D-Day. I was never so moved by anything as I was by that trip and profound memories.

3. The American Flag that I got form our State Senator that flew over the Capital Building in DC just after 9/11.

I have a lot of other things such as health, job, and a son whom I am very proud of but as far as material things, the ones above are at the top of my list. Other things can easily be replaced like the home theatre and swimming pool.

Well said. Mine would have to be, my dad's army pictures, some knives that he gave me, and my .12 guage shotgun that has a stock that my uncle handmade.

I have to go with Ed on this one. Mine would be the American flag from my Dad's funeral last week and a picture disc that a few of my cousins put together containing pics of our entire family.

My music collection. Can't tear me away from it. I couldn't live without my Skynyrd, or Floyd. Or my Puma Romas. I love those shoes.

I got a great deal on my SG...I think it was somewhere around $650-$700...I was thinking about a wine red platinum edition (the pickguard and all the ***** are aluminum), but it cost over $1000...the special edition faded one was just as good, so I went with it. It plays great!

I want a SRV Strat in the worst way. I don't like Mexican Strats. I almost bought one till I played it and it sounded like crap. I like Californian ones.

My wife and kids....

...Then I guess, my Soapbox Derby trophy.
I had the fastest car in my class one year, but crashed in the first heat when the brake cable failed.
Smashed the car into the hay bales at the end of the track then plowed into a ditch.

It could have been my year to go to Akron.

Mine is a flight jacket I got in 1971 while still in the Marines. I wore it for most of a year in Vietnam and it's a sentimental thing. I think I'm going to give it to my son next year when I move to Poland.

I used to have the flag from my dad's PT boat in WWII. It was framed, but I gave it to my younger brother who spent 25 years in the Navy.

Maybe the pocket knife my grandfather gave me when I was just a little kid. It had been a gift from his father.

I have a Mont Blanc ballpoint pen I won in a sales contest about 20 years ago.

But if I lost all my stuff tomorrow I could replace everything. Things don't have meaning in my life. Just people and memories.
