About 1AM here ... a few minutes ago I finally finished installing the new valve trim kit for the bathroom tub, caulked the base, caulked the base of the tub spout, applied a bead of silicone to the seam between the under-mount sink and the granite vanity top since the installer was nice enough to leave some spots open so I was getting a leak at times.
I also had to remove and re-install the new trim piece at the top of the back wall since the double-sided tape it came with sucked.
I bought some new 3M "Extreme" tape, applied it all along the back side that goes against the tile, and re-secured it and it's staying put.

The final look of the valve trim and tub spout:

Got almost finished with the bathroom project.

Installed the new soft-close toilet lid, new satin-nickel toilet flush handle, cleaned the toilet, painted and caulked around the outside/base of the tub, replaced 3 missing wall-bottom tiles, cleaned/vacuumed the floor.

When I think back of how much I've done to this room, it boggles my mind, and I've done it all myself, which I'm proud of, having never before done plumbing/electrical/drywall-replacement/tiling.

The only pic I have of the "before" :

And the main reason I started all this, the rusted tub that felt like my feet would go through it when standing in it:

No more tile:

No more walls:

New rough-in water valve with individual shut-off valves that can be accessed through an access panel in the other bathroom:

New vanity and re-routed PVC piping and new p-trap under it to fit the new sink, new faucet, new water-supply lines, the medicine cabinet was removed and re-installed after the walls were fully re-painted, ceiling re-painted:

Thanks Stef ...

At the bottom of that last pic above you can see a missing tile that had to be removed for the new vanity to fit.
I replaced that tile today with one that I cut to fit, using my awesome $40 wet saw from Harbor Freight, lmao

Looks great! One of the things I miss about owning my own place, and living there. First thing I did was extend the patio, never did anything like that before and it was fun. Wanted to tile the patio and add a railing, but Uncle Sam said it was time to move so haven't been able to do that project.

Thanks man ... I'm so looking forward to owning a house though ... condo's nice and this one's becoming a lot nicer than it was, but there's nothing like having your own house with a garage, backyard, porch, basement, etc ...
