I generally try, but when typing on a forum I don't really care if I use your instead of you're.

the capabilities of 3D printers is no less than amazing. I remember seeing one ~5 years ago when they were in their prototype stage. I was speechless at the possibilities or what they could do.

Oh I was paying attention, but you're not listening: attention to detail means effort. If you "generally" try and "don't really care" when typing on a message board, then, again...you're not really trying. You're picking and choosing, but I realize I'm explaining something to someone who is most likely not going to listen anyway.
