No, you're better man than me for sure. Especially a husband and father. You still are with your wife and mother of your children. I would be but circumstances prevented that, but you are still a better father than I ever was. I checked out at one point, I know it was a ****ed up situation, but I should have stuck in there but I didn't. I got ****ed up, badly. You know what I did and it was really bad. It took me years to recover from that and I'm still not a good person, I'm just not as bad as I used to be.

You are probably the best dad I've ever seen. I can't even imagine myself being as good of at father as you.

 

I really appreciate that Lee. But you've got good boys. And your oldest is a real man and smart and successful and you must have done something right.

I know I can be better and it doesn't matter so much what's been done in the past as what you or I can do from this moment forward while we still have time on earth with them. But my wife does all the heavy lifting day to day and I get to be Cliff Huxtible (the character not Cosby himself omg) or Ward Clever. I try to take care of the big picture and the life lessons and stuff. I've got one kid that despite all our best efforts is heading down the wrong path and I see it getting bad even though she's not doing drugs or breaking the law or not even being immoral but she's just so **** lazy and won't interact with the rest of her family and does such stupid and careless things and we just can't reach her. I keep waiting for something to click inside her and I just can't get it to happen and it depresses me. All 6 kids have had the exact same opportunity with the same mother and father and all have been healthy and supported and haven't wanted for a throng but also haven't been given everything and for Ike of them it's just not sticking. I've seen it for years and she's 15 and it's gonna continue to happen and it's like watching a car wreck in slow motion and there's nothing you can do.

Hell, I'm still trying to figure out how Zoe and Regan came from you. The only thing I can figure is they get their looks from their mom who must be a ****ing supermodel to counteract your genes, and then that raises the question of how you managed to get a supermodel to marry your ***, not to mention stay married to you long enough to pop out six kids.
