Spent all day listening to my Metallica playlist.

 

I listened to Metallica for so many years. Just over and over again. Saw them in concert twice. Learned how to play a few of their songs on the guitar. For some reason now I can't get through even one of their songs. Must remind me of a time I would rather not remember or something. Dunno

 

Im in that phase right now with music myself. Out of every genre and song i have, i haven't heard anything lately, i dont listen for a few moments and skip to next.

 

I use pandora now pretty much exclusively. It usually surprises me with songs I like that I've forgotten about. I've also learned about many new bands that I'm enjoying too.

 

Heard this today and it knocked me on my a$$.

 

Their remake of that song is awesome. I saw them in concert a few years ago. It was the first concert my wife had ever been to. While she is more of a pop-music fan, I'm slowly converting her. She heard this song off of my iPhone and she purchased the album on her phone. She also bought a BOC greatest hits album on our way home from a Blue Oyster Cult concert a few months ago.

 

That was pretty incredible.

I'm back on stoner/doom again, so it's Electric Wizard "come my fanatics" for me lately lol.... Although I did hear "Prettier" by Miranda Lambert this morning and it always puts a smile on my face.

 

The man can sing and I think the addition of the orchestra added a lot to that song, but I think I still like the Simon & Garfunkel version of the song better.
