Hey, its nothing short of a miracle that I'm still alive with the **** I've done and the life I've lived and the people I've dealt with.

I remember when that Nirvana album (Nevermind) came out, we were so ****ed up on acid listening to it that we drove up to the top of the mountain here and thought that we (4 of us) could load a mountain rock that we thought was special and speaking to us, into the hatch of an IROC Z Camaro. The rock was literally half the size of the car and must have weighted 10K LBS, and we tried to roll it into the hatch of that IROC, LOL. It didn't work, so we left and didn't come home for 2 days because were were so tripped out on LSD. Everyone has a fit, especially our parents, nobody knew where we were. We didn't either, lol.

Now that sounds like fun. I'd have dropped acid with you man. And we'd have gotten that stone in that IROC no problem.

Problem with me was that I've always had a high tolerance for anything, just like alcohol now, and I was a Ga. Tech nerd with a lot of friends there. And those nerds down there made some serious LSD that I had access to. My friends were no weaklings, and one hit of blotter paper (or one drop from an eye dropper) would screw them up for 20 hours, they would do that, but I'd do 10 blotter hits or 10 drops to their one and they were amazed that I kept going for days, lol. Back then, I'd trip for an entire week and come off perfectly normal (well, describe normal, lol).

Its a damned miracle that I'm alive.

I got accepted to Ga. Tech back in 89-90. Wanted to go there real bad but out of state tuition just wasn't gonna happen.

Say what again!!!

Great school. That's where my oldest got his masters, an engineer. Luckily he had no desire for drugs at all. All the jocks and dip****s went to UGA, all the smart kids went to Ga.Tech. Especially the ones with high GPA and ACT and SAT, got full ride Academic scholarships.

Well I gotta get up and sell a house in the morning. Just signing the contract. But that **** could take an hour or 4 hours. You never know.

I should have been an engineer. I'm just a glorified salesman. A huckster.

Alabama was awesome. They're pretty much considered local boys around here. Not very far away at all, just on the other side of the mountain. They made some killer music, such well written songs. Modern country owes its roots to them and the things they did. They were the original country supergroup that all big time country groups these days came from. They crossed boundaries from country to pop to rock, they are what made todays country what it is, they put it into the mainstream.

This was such a great song..

"I speak my Southern english, as natural as I please, I'm in the heart of Dixie, Dixie's in the heart of me, And someday when I make it, when love finds a way, somewhere high on Lookout Mountain, I'll just smile with pride and say, that my home's in Alabama"

And this one is my favorite one
This is me and grandma in the, summer sun
All dressed up, the day we said our vows
You can't tell it here but it was hot that June
And that rose was red and her eyes were blue
And just look at that smile, I was so proud

Think I'm gonna love Nickleback more than every other band. . .

It's not like you didn't know that
I said I love you and I swear I still do
And it must have been so bad
Cause living with me must have **** near killed you

And this is how, you remind me
Of what I really am
This is how, you remind me
Of what I really am
